She's Home!
Susan arrived home last night around 5:30. We are so glad to have her home. The grandkids were elated that Grandma had returned to "the farm." We all had a nice dinner and enjoyed each other's company. Today it was back to "normal." It was back to work and trying our best to survive the day. We are all tired and worn out, both physically and emotionally. We are so happy to not have to divide our time between hospital and home. Mom is doing well. She's tired and still moving slowly. We are doing our best to keep her laying low. She walked to the end of our driveway, which for those of you that have seen our driveway, know that is quite a feat. She said she felt better than she did 2 weeks ago! She can really tell a difference. And that is only with one artery repaired. She will need to have the left artery repaired in the near future. She has a doctor's appointment on Friday and so I will probably have more to report at that time. Until then...

That's just great Susan! Just in time to go smelting with us! We are so happy - you are truly remarkable.
Love, Ann and Paul
Now...dear Mindy,
You have turned us all into bloggers, we have all witnessed a true miracle, we have all had the experience of "reconnecting" if only through a blog...don't drop us like a hot potato. I know you can't keep this up forever, but would still love to hear a weekly on Suz. Also, I am at your disposal if you need me. I love you all. Pam
Hello Coon's
Especially Susan! Hooray! I can't even tell you how happy and relieved we are. I walked into church on Sunday, and said "Happy Easter" to a neighbor and immediately got teary telling her about "our" Easter Miracle. How this wonderful woman who has been such an important part of my life was spared. You are bringing tears of joy to people who don't even know you! I have been so smiley imagining you with your little kids (and all the big "kids" and Richard!) We love you all. Happy Spring! We are all cheering for you here!
With lots of love from a few of your fans!

Dear Susan, Richard and Family,
We are so happy to hear of your return to health. We only recieved the news Sunday evening and were shocked to hear it. We go back about 24 1/2 years to when you were our breathing instructor before David was born. You have been special to us since that time. You are in our prayers and will be until full recovery. This has truly been a miracle.
Love Dale and Dodie Sprout
It's great that Susan in back home and 'doing' her walk! Please tell her not to climb trees over 200 feet tall. That's not tall enough for her to parachute. It great news for all. Bill Peek
Welcome Home, Susan...

Dear Richard, Susan and all, We are so pleased that Susan is home and able to recuperate in a familiar and comfortable place. Such a miracle she is!! We have spent a lot of time this week remembering our good friends and neighbors - we still miss you!! (Susan - you will be happy to know that the bunnies in our back yards are all fat & sassy - two rambunctious labs don't bother them at all!) Anyway, you continue to be in our thoughts and prayers - and we send lots of love, good wishes and prayers for a continued recovery. Mindy, thank you so much for doing this - we really appreciate being able to keep up to date with your mom's progress. Take care of each other as well as your amazing mother!

I know I don't all the blessings and miracles that have happened this past ten days but here are some I have observed:
#1--Susan hospitalized (who knew it would be so critical);
#2--A doctor was outside the door when she had the heart attack and heard her fall;
#3--The medical staff could revive her;
#4--she could be life-flighted to a cardiac-specialized hospital;
#5--Mass communication enabled many to begin praying and fasting in Susan's behalf;
#6--Stents are available to fix the blockages;
#7--Susan had no broken bones in her face;
#8--Susan woke up, recognized
family;
#9--No brain damage;
#10--no rehab, etc.
#11--Susan is ALIVE!

To all the Coons, large and small...we are so grateful to hear that Susan has finally landed safely at home. Mindy, you will have to get back to work so that you can have a rest! Susan, so glad you're doing so well;I am sure that it is healing just to be back in your home environment with pets and all your creature comforts. Wow, now you can start getting yourself in shape for the camping season...but this year, Richard has to do ALL of the shopping and the loading and the unloading while you sit back like the Queen of Sheba!!
Take Care Dear Susan and all,
Love you so much, Leslie

Hi Susan! I am so happy for your recovery. What an amazing story! You are truly a walking miracle. You used to call everyone for Family Service hours. Well, there have been many hours to report of prayers and concern for you. Have a wonderful spring enjoying new growth and new health. Take care, Connie
Dear Susan:
We're glad to hear you're home and on the mend. Our best to you, Richard and the rest of the family. Take care.

Dear Susan and Family:
Our family just learned of your ordeal. We are so glad to hear that Susan is on the road to recovery. Could there be any doubts otherwise? Whenever I start feeling a bit sorry for myself, I can just hear Susan saying, "Oh, get over it! Get to work!" Your no nonsense, loving attitude was a wonderful lesson learned as I served with you in Relief Society. As Evan and I rode to seminary this morning, we were talking about how we loved Susan and Richard Coon. I made the comment that when he was in Primary, he would have done anything to make "Sister Coon" happy. Evan's response, "Mom, I still would do anything for Sister Coon. She loved me." Just another testament of a life touched by you. Now a story to make you laugh today...remember when both of our homes were being invaded by mice. Each mouse that I conquered, I felt empowered to find another and rid my home of the pests. I had to repent though when you related to me that you just hated Richard disposing "of those cute little things". I could just picture you carefully caring each furry little creature out of your home to find them another. Wishing you a speedy recovery.
Love, Jerry, Brenda, and Evan
Dear Susan,
I can't keep up, but this is the second attempt to tell you Bonnie and I are praying and thinking of you daily. We were leaving the house and heading to Denver when we heard the news. We tried in route to send you a note and now we're home and so are you. You are REMARKABLE and certainly all the prayers are being answered. Don't hop down that lane too fast. Hi to Richard and Mindy. We'll keep in touch.
Love, Jerry (& Bonnie)
Richard,Susan,Mindy & family
We tried days ago to send you a message to let you know you have been and will continue to be in our thoughts and prayers but couldn"t get it to send. What an Easter you have had. One you won't forget we are sure. Life is precious and fragile and we should remember to celebrate each new day. We have enjoyed reading all the notes from all your friends. We have learned a lot about you Susan. You have touched many lives. You were awesome neighbors to have. Please know we will be checking this site daily praying your progress will continue. Thank you Mindy for keeping us so well informed. Have a great week knowing so many care about you and your family.

So happy to hear of Susan's improvement. Thanks for putting up the blog; it sure has been fun to read words of good cheer from old friends in the Gospel. It is kind of amazing how bad things can bring about good things--like connecting with old friends. All the Peniatas say "Hello" and wish you well; especially Susan. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Patty
Dear Susan and family,
Jim and I just returned from a visit with our granddaughters and Jim asked me what I wanted to do when we got home-I told him I wanted to check on Susan's blog and see how she is doing. I said I probably would have heard by phone if things had gone poorly, so hopefully Susan was stable. Imagine our excitement, relief, joy to read that you are home!!Congratulations on your miraculous recovery and continued progress to complete health. Mindy, you are a dear to keep us informed-collective prayer is a powerful tool. Love to each of you. Jim and Bonnie Bemis
