Not Much Change
There is not much to update you all on tonight. Mom did not wake up as we thought she would today. For once her healthy lifestyle is working against her. Because she has no dependencies on any chemicals, she is having a hard time coming off of the sedatives. She responded a couple of times with furrowed brows. She was pursing her lips around her tubing trying to figure out what's going on. She was moving her legs around and her arms a bit. The doctors have reassured us that the fact that she has not woken up yet is not alarming. Some people can take 3-4 days to come off of heavy sedatives. The rest of us are all doing pretty well. We are hanging in there. Thank you for your fun, caring thoughts. We love them! Keep them coming.

Hi Coons,
Just a quick note from Martha Blood. I wanted you to know that I put Susan's name (and your's too, Richard) on the prayer rolls in the Mesa Temple and the Orlando Temple this morning. We love each one of you and are hoping for good news again tomorrow. Take Care.
Love from the Bloods
Thanks for keeping us all in touch this way. We pray for Susan's quick recovery and look forward to sharing laughter again real soon.

Susan - We just heard about what has been happening with you! Know that we are praying for your complete recovery! And Cindy says you are not that much older than her so quit scaring us to death :)
We will stay informed via this web site and if you need some assertive nurses telling the doctors what to do just call and we will be there :)
Richie, How are you doing! We hope that you are able to get some rest and take care of yourself also. Wish I was there to run a meal over! Don't forget that you are part of this great outpouring of love also.

To Susan and her wonderful family- I used to work with Susan Wednesdays at the Carlson Park Nicollet. In fact I just thought of her over the weekend when I came across a recipe she had given me for stuffed mushrooms. I always loved working with her and was very shocked to hear this news. Susan truly is one of the most genuine, loving caring, self-less people I know. Like so many others, she also helped me during a difficult time in my life and offered her home if needed. Please know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers for a quick recovery. I will be checking the postings daily hoping and praying for good news.
Love,
Jennifer Hoppe
Good Morning!
What a great way to communicate.
I check this morning and night wating for the best news ever. Richare, maybe you and the family should stand around Susan's bed and sing "Wake up little Susie, Wake up". You're probably the only one who remembers that song.
We are s00000 glad that we were able to spend a week with you two. We had such a great time. I just hope that keeping Susan running on such a high for so long didn't have anything to do with what has happened.
If you need me to do any calling to cancel the baby shower let me know. I'd be happy to spear head it at a latter day if you would like.
I know with the help of Heavenly Father and the support and prayers of your family and friends, you WILL get through this.
Wish I were there to give you all a big hug and tell you everything will be alright.
We will continue to pray for all of you. Love Deon & Paul
Dave and Peggy Humphreys want to thank you for keeping us up to date. We are very worried, but optimistic and praying very hard. Susan is a truly amazing person and we are sure she is fighting very hard. You have a wonderful family and a deep faith. We admire your strenth during such a difficult time.
Lots of love and prayers from Las Vegas. I was shocked to hear what happened and have been praying for all of you guys. Really, I've only met Susan in person a couple of times, but she always made me feel so special (even before I actually met her). And knowing Mindy (and what a wonderful person you are) it's obvious that you were taught from an amazing mom!! We'll keep the prayers and thoughts coming! Love, Lindsey, Aaron, and Zander
Susan & Richard:
Our continued prayers for continued progress amd a speedy awakening.
We appreciate the updates and look for them each day. We are glad to hear of the progress even if less than we would all hope for.
Love from all of the Brough's.
