Miracle of Miracles
She's responding!!!!!!!!!! She recognizes people and can shake her head yes. She can wiggle her toes at command and she squeezed Jayson's hand. They gave her a reverse sedative and it is working. She is showing limited-to-no brain damage. Phew! They want to give the meds another hour to do their job and then they will take the tubes out. The powers of heaven were working hard today in our behalf, most importantly in Mom's behalf. You have all been so amazing. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

What a true joy it was to read this blog. And a true joy to fast and attend the Temple...and even sing "Wake Up Little Susie" at the top of my lungs.
Tell her I will come out and help take care of her and sit with her on the porch in that rocking chair after all.
This news was amazing. We will never doubt the power of prayer and the love of family and friends to create another Easter miracle.
I couldn't be happier! I seriously have been checking this forum every few hours praying that there will be a post like this one. Send Susan my love! We just love the Coon family so much!

I just heard the news today. I am sorry for what all of you have to go through. We will be happy to pray for you, think of you, and hope that in the coming days things will improve quickly. Life can surely change in an instant. Just a short month ago my husband crushed both of his legs just above the ankle joint. We pray every day that he will walk again. The outpouring for us was indescribable. I am greatful to have the pleasure to pray for all of you now. The power of fasting and prayer leaves me speachless. I am sorry that I did not receive word in time to join the fast but know that our prayers are with all of you and Susan. May the Lord bless and keep you all. Our love and prayers,
Mary(Hawton),Mitch,Maggie,PeterNora,Cole Duncombe

I just heard the new last night. I hope that things continue to go well, and that Susan continues to heal. I am sorry that I wasn't aware earlier and was able to participate in the fasting, but please know that my prayers are will you all, as I have always loved your family so much. Keep fighting Susan, I love you and will pray for you often. It is great news that she is responding well and hopefully her recovery will continue to go well.
Love Always,
Miriam Anduray (Mim Hawton)

Dear Susan,
You have been in our prayers every day since we first heard that you were in the hospital. We love you and wish you a speedy recovery! How grateful we are that you got such quick help and immediate attention from the doctors and nurses in the hospital….What a blessing! Susan, please know that you are constantly in our thoughts and prayers.

and family
P.S. Dear Richard and family, we also hope that you are doing well. Please let us know what we can do to help. Also, Mindy, big “Thanks” for putting together the web-site for all of us to know how Susan is doing.
Dearest Susan and Coon family,
I am so relieved to hear the good news. We've been following the blog and keeping you in our family prayers. Susan, you have a way of making those who come into your life feel like family. Your warmth, your spunky personality, your wisdom, your generosity -- all render you an irresistible friend. How many times did I come over to hang out with your kids and ended up spending the evening chatting with you in the kitchen? And look out, because now that we live in Maryland we're going to have to come down for a visit once this is all over!
Much love,
Amber (Erickson) Larson
So relieved to hear of Susan's progress and will continue to pray in her behalf. Susan's healing has prompted personal reflection: that each additional day on earth is a gift...and that "the works of God are made manifest in others' healings."
Ann Y.
This is wonderful news and another manifestation of the power of prayer and fasting. We will continue to plead for a speedy and full recovery. Thanks for keeping us updated.
Love, Julie Hartranft
Ambrose and Susan Brennan
We were both excited when Richard called the office with the news yesterday afternoon.
And 3 pm... WOW .... What an awesome God....a prayer and fasting hearing kind of God.
WOW! WOW!
We keep our entreaties alive to our Father as we celebrate the mystery of the crucifixtion, burial, and resurrection of his only Son this season.
We ask our father for complete restoration of Susan's spirit, mind, body, heart, and soul in the name of your world famous son, Jesus.
In baby steps or Giant steps.... we leave it to his awesome plan for all.
Keep it up Susan! We love you and pray for you daily. Thanks for all the updates Mindy. You seem to be handling this well. Love you guys
