Feeling Your Love
For the first time this evening Susan had a glimpse of the love that has been outpouring on her behalf. We started reading some of the stories that you have posted under "Favorite Susan Stories." She has enjoyed each one. She has laughed, smiled, cried, and even fallen asleep to the words of her friends. Thank you for that comfort in this time of need. Keep the stories coming. They will be so helpful in her long road to recovery and for a long time after as we read and reread your entries.

So happy to hear good news. Small steps can be so huge in a process like this. Susan you are amazing. I know you will come through all of this with flying colors. All day I thought of so many memories that involved all of you. I love your family so much. We will continue to pray for all of you. May the Lord bless and keep you.

I just remembered this (another random memory) -- it made me laugh just thinking about it.
When I was a Cub Scout, Susan was a Den Mother for one of the other dens, and at a pack meeting, she led her boys in their den cheer. With her fist pumping high in the air, she belted it out at the top of her lungs, with that sort of wiry twang that is unique to her, and it overpowered the rest of the boys combined. It went something like this:
"Two bits! Four bits! Six bits! A dollar! All for Den 4, stand up and holler! Wooooo!"
