An Easter to Remember

We spent the day with Mom in the hospital. It was a wonderful, wonderful day! Ayden and Emelia even got visited by the Easter Bunny at the hospital so Grandma could be a part of the festivities. We are so grateful that she has come so far in such a short time. And the best news of all is that she can come home tomorrow evening. No rehab, no hospice, nothing. She can come straight home. She is the talk of all of the doctors. They are just baffled. But it's no wonder...we all know what an amazing woman Susan Coon is and are so thankful that Heavenly Father allowed her to stay with us.

Last Sunday morning I woke up about 5:00 a.m. with a sweet, peaceful feeling that Susan was going to be okay. Your progress, Susan, has been truly remarkable but not a surprise to those of us who have been praying and know of your indomitable Spirit. You are most remarkable!!

Another Easter rising has taken place... truly amazing to the staff and the family...

We stand in awe of an awesome God... amazed at his powers of reclaimation... we are slack jawed in the midst of his mystery...

We say "What next"... "thank your father"... What love you have poured out over this week... thanks you father for your mercy and grace...

...and yet... why did you allow all of this to happen... and what is the message you want us to receive about susan and the coon family... and all the witnesses that have obeserved and awaited the outcome... we wonder about the wondering doctors... and what they will take away from this episode...

Thank you father for what you have done for Susan and Richard and all the family...

We await the homecoming and the rest of the story as it evolves... and we pray for a continued healing and completed recovery in Jesus Name....

Amen...

He is risen INDEED!

Lots of Love,

Susan and Ambrose Brennan

Dear Sue

Congrats on holding off on the Monopoly game!

I think I might actually take a peek at the book you lent me - it still sits close to my desk - must have something to it - you are in one piece!

Susan, we are so happy for you and your family. What a miracle!

Have you met Dr. Nelson Burton? He is in the Oakton Stake AND he has an incredible voice. I'll bet he would sing farewell to you...

You will continue to be in our prayers. Much love,

What wonderful news!!!Thanks for sharing this experience with all of us. One of the things I remember Susan saying often in response to the hard things that others faced whether big or small was "the poor thing". Every time I hear myself making that comment, I think of Susan. Tonight, our reponse to your wonderful news is "the lucky thing". We are happy for your family.

It is a blessing to witness this miracle that has worked in your life Susan. Richard, Mindy and kids...thanks for enabling your church family to join your own family in a very personal account of a miracle happening as result of faith, fasting and prayer. Continued blessings on your recovery. We hope that you continue gaining strength. From Ann and Keith (and Andrew, Marian, Kevin and Bryce)

Dear Susan & Family,
What wonderful news to get on Easter morning. It has been amazing to follow the prayers, comments and outpouring of love you've received through this email correspondence. It is another testimony to fasting, prayer, faith and God's granted wishes. We are so happy for this blessing of recovery and the true miracle of it all. For you to be going home instead of a rehab center, is so remarkable. I wonder about the doctors and nurses and thank them for taking such good care of you. We love you Susan.
Love and Continued Prayers,
Julie Hartranft

This is not a surprise. Somehow we knew the Coons would stay together and that Susan was too tough to pass without a fight. We are so grateful prayers have been answered and that we will continue to be blessed by Susan's spirit. How wonderful and great are the blessings of a loving Heavenly Father. This has been a wonderful Easter indeed. The Homer Family

Susan and family... I feel blessed to once again witness the love that our father in Heaven has for each and every one of us! We are NEVER ALONE IN OUR TRIAL OR JOYS! Being an animal lover myself, I know that comfort of hugging a furry friend and all of the licks that let us feel love from all of creation:) God bless you susan. God bless your precious family. I know that you will be just fine. love, Gloria LeSueur and family.
